Nature Poems and Concrete Poetry
Nature at its finest

The creative writing process for me is just letting out what comes to mind and trying not to judge my thoughts too much. I think I was going for my nature poem is that the weather affects us as people and the Earth. We are interconnected and in that, the weather changes our moods and it also changes the setting of the world. If it’s sunny the world is cheery and happy, when it’s raining the world feels unwell and sick, and finally, the world feels slow and at a standstill when there is snow. While this may affect most of us, people may feel the opposite towards my thoughts and the way, for example, I feel happier when it is raining. This poem helped me to understand a little better to not judge your thoughts too harshly until you have gotten them out in writing. While this type of poetry is interesting, another piece of poetry I would like to talk about is concrete.
Concrete poetry focuses on the overall image more than the words that make up that image. This kind of poetry intersects with computer science because we have to write a lot in order before we get to start coding. We just have to write pseudocode out even though it may be wrong, it allows us to find the solution a little bit faster. The overall image of the pseudocode is much more important than the words because it ultimately allows us to have a clearer understanding of the problem.
